Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Shener Jebeji, the newly appointed Ambassador of Türkiye to Turkmenistan, on Friday. Jebeji presented his credentials to the President, Turkmen state media reported.
Jebeji thanked Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the opportunity to meet and said it was an honor to represent Türkiye in Turkmenistan. He conveyed greetings and best wishes from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Head of the state conveyed his best wishes to the President of Türkiye, congratulated Jebeji on his appointment and wished him success in strengthening relations between the two countries.
The sides described Turkmen-Turkish relations as long-term and strategic. They noted that high-level contacts, mutual visits and government negotiations have contributed to closer cooperation.
The two countries also cooperate through the United Nations and have expanded ties in culture, science, art and creative industries.
Jebeji pledged to work to further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries and their peoples and develop mutually beneficial cooperation.
