The Mejlis of Turkmenistan is preparing draft laws “On State Registration of Rights to Real Estate” and “On State Protection of Akhal-Teke Horses in Turkmenistan,” speaker of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova reported at a regular Cabinet meeting held via videoconference Friday, according to Turkmen state media.
According to the Gulmanova, work is also underway to make timely amendments and additions to the existing laws “On Lease,” “On Joint-Stock Companies,” “On Publishing Activities” and “On Licensing Certain Types of Activities.”
In addition, preparations are underway for the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. Representatives of the national parliament also made working visits to Samarkand, Uzbekistan, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to exchange experience in lawmaking.
At the end of the meeting, the Head of state stressed the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen the country’s legal framework and improve legislative activities.
