National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting during his visit to Arkadag City and expressed dissatisfaction with the current condition of the stadium where the Arkadag football team trains and international-level competitions are held. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed strict measures would be taken against responsible officials if the stadium is not properly maintained.
Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, and Gulshat Mammedova, Mayor of Arkadag City attended the meeting. The meeting discussed construction work underway as part of the city’s second development phase and preparations for upcoming significant dates, Turkmen state media reported on Monday.
Deryageldi Orazov briefed the meeting on efforts to accelerate construction in Arkadag City and complete facilities to a high standard and within the established deadlines.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said construction work should combine national architectural principles with advanced modern practices. He stressed that social facilities should be equipped in line with current requirements and high international standards.
The meeting also noted plans to relocate several families to residential buildings in Arkadag City in connection with the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people concluded the working meeting by stressing the need to take a responsible approach to implementing all planned measures and assigned tasks.
