National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the construction of a mosque, known as the “Arkadagyň ruhy metjidi,” and a madrasa being built next to it during a working visit to Arkadag City, Turkmen state media reported on Monday.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inspected the construction work at the mosque and paid attention to the durability, practicality and high-quality standards of the decorative and construction materials being used. He also stressed the need to maintain consistent oversight of each stage of construction.
The National Leader was then shown design plans for the classrooms and their equipment at the madrasa being built next to the mosque, which is designed to accommodate 30,000 people, as well as the conditions that will be created for young people to receive an education.
Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, briefed the National Leader on plans to provide students at the madrasa with the necessary conditions for education, recreation and accommodation. In this regard, the National Leader advised strengthening the facility’s material and technical base and drawing on international experience in teaching the subjects to be offered there.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed the need for coordinated work with relevant agencies to further improve efforts in this area and ensure that they are carried out in line with international standards.
