Oil transit from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline totaled 3.0285 million tons in January-August 2026.
According to AZERTAC, citing Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee, oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan accounted for 18.1% of the total volume transported through the BTC pipeline during the period.
A total of 16.746 million tons of oil was transported through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in January-August. Of this amount, 13.7174 million tons, or 81.9%, was oil produced in Azerbaijan.
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline is 1,768 kilometers long and transports crude oil from the Caspian Sea to the Mediterranean Sea. It begins in Baku, Azerbaijan, passes through Georgia and ends at the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean coast.
