A total $21.2 million transactions were concluded in foreign currency last week at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan, the exchange reported.
Business representatives from Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, China and the United Kingdom purchased various textile products manufactured at textile complexes under Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Textile Industry. Oil products manufactured by enterprises of the State Concern “Turkmennebit” and clear glass products manufactured by enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan were also sold.
In addition, local entrepreneurs purchased plastic pallets, polypropylene and polypropylene products, cotton yarn, carpets and cotton fiber worth a total of 105.029 million manats for the domestic market.
A total of 93 transactions were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
