Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on his birthday during a phone call, wishing him good health, well-being and further success in his state service, Turkmenistan’s official media reported.
The Russian President highlighted the significant contribution of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people, to strengthening relations between the two countries and conveyed his warm greetings to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked Putin for his warm congratulations and said he accepted his good wishes as a sign of sincere respect and friendship.The Turkmen President also took the opportunity to congratulate the Russian President on the successful elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the high level of organization of the vote and wished the new Russian parliament success in working for the interests of the country and its citizens. The Turkmen President expressed confidence that cooperation between the parliaments of Turkmenistan and Russia would continue to develop and strengthen.
The conversation also focused on relations between Turkmenistan and Russia. According to the report, Turkmenistan attaches great importance to developing friendly and mutually beneficial relations with Russia based on the principles of mutual trust and respect.
