A new modern village will open and be commissioned this year in Gyzylarbat district of Balkan province, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov announced at a meeting of the Halk Maslahaty in Ashgabat on Wednesday, according to Turkmenistan’s official media.
According to the Head of state, all conditions will be created in the new village for residents to live comfortably. The project is also being implemented as part of the construction of modern villages, settlements and cities aimed at improving living and social conditions for the population across the country.
According to the report, the relevant work is being carried out under state programs for socio-economic development, as well as measures aimed at improving the living and social conditions of the population of villages, settlements, district towns and district centers.
In addition, construction began this year on a new modern settlement in Yoloten district of Mary province, designed for 4,500 households. New modern residential complexes will also be ceremonially opened and commissioned in Ashgabat this year.
The opening and commissioning of a complex of residential buildings and other facilities intended for chemical industry workers is planned in Turkmenbashi district of Balkan province. The foundations of 50 health centers and health houses will also be laid in the regions in the near future.
The Head of state also noted that major programs aimed at strengthening social protection for citizens and improving their living and social conditions are being implemented in the country.
