The Turkmenistan Investment Forum (TIF 2026) opened in Ashgabat at the Yyldyz Hotel. The two-day forum brings together representatives of more than 200 major foreign companies from more than 40 countries, international financial institutions and government agencies.
Representatives of companies including Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, ITOCHU, Sumitomo Corporation, Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Samsung C&T, Daewoo Engineering, John Deere, CLAAS, Siemens Energy, TotalEnergies, Dragon Oil, ADNOC, Toyota Central Asia, Moody’s and Bitdeer are taking part in the forum.
Representatives of the World Bank, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Asian Development Bank (ADB), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Islamic Development Bank and Export-Import Bank of China are also participating in the forum.
The forum will discuss investment opportunities in areas including energy and petrochemicals, construction, transport and logistics, agriculture, the Caspian region, the digital economy and artificial intelligence, tourism, urban infrastructure development and water resources.
According to Turkmen state media, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in a congratulatory message to the forum participants, noted particular importance is being attached to introducing advanced technologies and innovations across all sectors, as well as increasing investment in these areas. The President said Turkmenistan is studying and adopting the best practices of leading countries, with the main goal of developing a model that combines effective financial and economic instruments with the country’s own scientific, technological and intellectual potential.
The President said the forum is being held to expand constructive dialogue among foreign investors, international financial and banking institutions, government agencies and the country’s private sector. The event will also allow participants to exchange views on the use of advanced sustainable development technologies across sectors, the launch of new competitive industries and digital financial instruments.
TIF 2026 is organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in cooperation with Turkmen Congress.
