A Turkmen delegation led by Deputy Minister of Communications Ya. Gulmammedov took part in a digital innovation conference held Sept. 29 in Astana as part of C5+1 multilateral cooperation between Central Asian countries and the United States, Turkmenistan’s Foreign Ministry reported Thursday.
During the opening of the conference, the Turkmen delegation briefed participants on Turkmenistan’s efforts to develop the digital economy and introduce modern digital technologies, ongoing initiatives and results achieved, as well as outlined prospective areas for further development in the sector.

The conference also brought together heads and representatives of relevant government agencies from Central Asian countries and the United States, as well as representatives of partner organizations, including DFC, CRDF Global, CIPE and CLDP. Representatives of the private sector and international expert community, including companies and organizations such as Meta, Oracle, Honeywell Technologies, Wabtec, McKinsey, EPAM, Plug and Play and Alchemist Accelerator, presented their experience and modern technological solutions.
Participants discussed the development of digital innovation and its role in economic development, ensuring the security and reliability of advanced technologies, key areas and priorities for digitalization and artificial intelligence development, as well as prospects for further cooperation and strengthening partnerships in these areas.
