Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Turkmenistan to attend a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the press service of the President of Belarus reported.
At Turkmenbashi International Airport, Alexander Lukashenko was welcomed by Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan.

According to the report, the heads of state will discuss cooperation within the Commonwealth of Independent States, which marks its 35th anniversary in 2026. Alexander Lukashenko will speak on key issues related to the CIS, as well as the international organization’s potential and future areas of cooperation.
The meeting’s agenda also includes issues related to social development and quality of life, transport connectivity among CIS countries, information and law enforcement cooperation, and the preservation of historical heritage.
