Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov in Avaza on Oct. 8. The heads of state discussed trade, economic and energy cooperation, as well as prospects for further development of Turkmen- Kyrgyz relations, the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan reported.
The sides noted the fraternal and strategic nature of relations between the two countries and discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to expanding trade, economic and energy cooperation, as well as developing transport and logistics ties.
According to the report, Sadyr Japarov expressed confidence that the agreements reached would give new impetus to the further development of bilateral relations and contribute to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
