International price reporting agency Argus will hold a special session for the first time at the International Conference and Exhibition “International Transport-Transit Corridors: Interconnectivity and Development – 2026” (ITTC 2026), scheduled for Nov. 24-26 in Ashgabat, OGUZ Forum & Expo, one of the event’s organizers reported.
The session will examine key trends in global commodity markets, energy prices and price indicators in Central Asia.
Timur Ilyasov, Argus vice president for business development in Central Asia, will moderate the session. Agency experts will present key trends and price indicators in international and regional markets. Specialists in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), petrochemicals, mineral fertilizers and fuels will take part in the discussion.
Argus was founded in London in 1970. Today, it has more than 1,500 employees across 32 offices in major global commodity trading hubs. Its price assessments are used as benchmarks for international transactions in the energy, raw materials trading and transportation sectors.
Argus data are also used in Turkmenistan to determine export prices for oil, petroleum products, liquefied petroleum gas and petrochemicals. The company’s price assessment methodology undergoes an independent annual audit to verify compliance with the principles of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
The organizers of ITTC 2026 are the Ministry of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan, the Türkmenhowaýollary State Service, the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan, the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, and OGUZ Forum & Expo.
