Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called for the Turkic world to channel its vast potential toward common goals, strengthen unity through concrete results and leave a stronger Turkic world to future generations. He made the remarks in an article titled “The Century of the Turkic World: From Solidarity to Integration,” written ahead of the 13th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Turkmenistan reported.
According to Erdoğan, the summit, which will be held in Ankara under the motto “Unity in Language, Thought and Action,” will focus on developing cooperation among Turkic states in the political, economic, cultural and security fields. Türkiye will also assume the organization’s rotating chairmanship from Azerbaijan during the summit.
In the article, Erdoğan identifies economic integration as one of the key areas of cooperation among Turkic states. He noted that the East-West Middle Corridor, which runs across the Caspian Sea, offers significant opportunities to develop trade and transport links between Asia and Europe. He also called for improvements to transport infrastructure, the removal of trade barriers, more effective use of the Turkic Investment Fund and expanded cooperation in the energy sector.
The Turkish President emphasized cooperation in culture, education and technology. He highlighted the importance of advancing the common Turkic alphabet initiative, strengthening ties between universities and scholars, and creating opportunities for young people to study in Turkic states. Erdogan stressed the need to ensure that Turkic languages maintain a strong position in the age of artificial intelligence.
At the end of the article, Erdoğan expressed confidence that the 21st century would become “the Century of the Turkic World” and turning common goals into concrete results would contribute to the prosperity and development of Turkic states and help strengthen peace in the region.
