Participants in the international conference and exhibition “Development of the Construction, Industrial, Chemical and Energy Sectors of Turkmenistan — CIET 2026” visited the ancient Nisa fortresses, the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural and Park Complex and the Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex in Ashgabat. The visit was organized as part of the event, co-organizer Turkmen Energy Forum reported.

The visits gave participants an opportunity to learn more about Turkmenistan’s rich history and cultural heritage. At ancient Nisa, located at the foothills of the Kopetdag Mountains, they explored the remains of fortresses associated with the history of the Parthian Empire.

The delegation also visited the Magtymguly Pyragy Cultural and Park Complex in southern Ashgabat. Opened in 2024 to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of the renowned Turkmen poet and thinker, the complex features a monument to Magtymguly Pyragy, as well as statues of prominent writers and poets from around the world.

During the visit, participants also toured the Halk Hakydasy Memorial Complex, which commemorates national heroes who died in the Great Patriotic War and those who lost their lives in the 1948 Ashgabat earthquake.
