July - Busy Month for Beekeepers in Turkmenistan
Bees play an important role in pollinating flowers and making precious food products.

July is one of the busiest months for beekeepers in Turkmenistan. Getting the honey in the flowering season of a camel thorn and cotton, and the proper care of the bee colony in the sultry heat is the most important task for them.

Bees play an important role in pollinating flowers and making precious food products, such as honey, wax, bee venom, propolis, pollen and queen bee milk. These products are widely used in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and for dietary supplements.

It is widely believed that the people who often consume honey rarely get sick due to the fact that honey contains a huge amount of vitamins, and also helps to strengthen human immune system.

Ovezmurad Penjiyev from Lebap velayat and Islam Yakubov from Dashoguz velayat are among the well-known entrepreneurs involved in beekeeping. These days they are busy collecting hundreds of kilograms of an environmentally friendly product, as well as taking care of bee colonies.

Businessmen-beekeepers actively participate in forums jointly organized by the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where they represent different types of bee honey and other products of their own production.

In all regions of the country, large-scale reproduction of honey bees are being carried out by the entrepreneurs who are creating conditions for their care and using them in pollination, increasing the production of honey products, protecting honey bees, preserving and improving their gene pool, as well as modernizing the production technologies of honey products with state support.
