Täze Energiýa private enterprise will establish the production of solar glass panels in Turkmenistan, head of the enterprise Nury Hydyrov said Thursday in an interview with Business Turkmenistan.
On the sidelines of the international energy exhibition in Ashgabat, Hydyrov informed about the activities of his company. “In coming days, we plan to establish the production of solar glass panels in Turkmenistan,” he said during interview.
“The potential of solar energy in Turkmenistan is very high. We plan to construct a solar power station on the territory of the Atyn Asyr Turkmen lake,” Hydyrov added. “The Head of State approved the project for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 10 MW. We also plan to place solar panels in the villages of the Ahal velayat.”
Täze Energiýa private enterprise was founded in 2015. The company specializes in solar and wind energy.
During the conversation, Hydyrov noted that they are the first company in Turkmenistan that received a license to place solar panels. “We import them. We work with companies from China, Turkey and the Netherlands. Recently we opened a representative office of Victron Energy in Turkmenistan," Hydyrov added.
Scientists estimate that solar energy will become the largest source of electricity by 2050.The photovoltaic and concentrated solar energy will account for 16% and 11% of global electricity production, respectively. Commercial concentrated solar power plants first appeared in the 1980s.
