More than 10 thousand transformers of leading Turkish producer Beta operate in Turkmenistan, the company’s Regional Sales Director Ilhan Avjy said Thursday in an interview with Business Turkmenistan.
“Our company has been cooperating with Turkmenistan for the last 15 years,” Avjy said on the sidelines of the international energy exhibition held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. “Our transformers, of 25 KW to 25 MW types, have been operating in Turkmenistan for 15 years. Currently, their numbers exceeded 10 thousand units. Private enterprises operate 70%, while the state operates 30% of them.”
Awjy informed that 80%-90% of transformers supplied to Turkmenistan are liquid-type, and 10%-15% of them are dry-type. “Dry-type transformers are used in enclosed constructions such as airports and hospitals. For example, our transformers are used in Berkarar Shopping and Entertainment Center, Turkmenabat International Airport, Ashgabat International Airport, and in Polymer plant in Balkan velayat,” Avjy noted.
Beta’s main goal in participating in the exhibition, according to Avjy, is to expand its operations in the Turkmen market.
Beta has a production line at the Industry zone, located in Turkey’s Adana city. The company export 75% of its products to more than 30 countries.
