Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) established a tourism enterprise to facilitate the development of the tourism industry in Turkmenistan.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Chary Gylyjov announced the creation of the enterprise that will coordinate the activities of privatized tourism enterprises in the provinces and Ashgabat at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.

Gylyjov noted that one of the priorities of the new structure is the digitalization of all tourism services in Turkmenistan.

The modern information environment will make traveling in Turkmenistan more accessible.

During the meeting, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the issues of stimulating small and medium enterprises in the tourism sector, creating conditions for attracting more foreign tourists and placing the tourism industry in the category of highly profitable industries in the economy of Turkmenistan.

The established tourism company plans to conclude cooperation agreements with relevant foreign institutions and open a number of representative offices abroad.

At a session of the Cabinet of Ministers on July 5 last year, the President of Turkmenistan announced his decision to transfer the complex of the Avaza National Tourism Zone to businessmen and instructed the chairman of the UIET Alexander Dadaev to create a council for managing the recreation and entertainment complex in Avaza.
