Korean Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd. has been operating in Turkmenistan for about 10 years.
In an interview with Neutral Turkmenistan, Director of the company’s branch in Turkmenistan Pak De Ho noted the high potential of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector.
“Our company has been operating in Turkmenistan for over 10 years and during that time we have completed 4 large scale joint projects, the last of which is the large polyethylene and polypropylene production plant in Kiyanli, ” the director said.
“We are happy to note the fact that such a long work experience of our company in Turkmenistan is due to the stability of Turkmenistan, as well as the reliability of our Turkmen partner. Foreign investments, modern technologies and the skilled local specialists allow us to build up effective bilateral cooperation and develop the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan,” the businessman added.
During a meeting with President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov last October, President and CEO of Hyundai Engineering Co. Ltd. Sung Sang Rock announced his readiness to present new mutually beneficial proposals to the Turkmen side, among which are investment projects in the field of processing fuel and energy complex products with the participation of Korean and other companies in order to strengthen fruitful cooperation.
