The British Embassy in Ashgabat tours cities in Turkmenistan with the presentation of Chevening scholarship program.
According to the press release of the embassy, presentations kicked off in Ashgabat on September 30, and then completed a short tour in the city of Mary and Dashoguz.
Speaking at the Agriculture Institute in Dashoguz and Institute of Energy in Mary cities, newly-appointed British Ambassador Hugh Philpott highlighted the importance of education and encouraged interested students to benefit from world class education opportunities in the UK.
At the presentation dedicated to the visitors of the American Corner in Mary, International Liaison Officer from the Chevening Secretariat Rebekah Palmer helped potential candidates to understand clearly what Chevening is about, its criteria and requirements.
The embassy informed at the document that the next presentation will be held at the American Embassy’s Information and Resource Centre in Ashgabat on October 24.
Chevening applications are currently open until November 5, 2019.
