Ter Önüm private enterprise, a member of Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrials of Turkmenistan, participates in the International trade fair for food and beverages Anuga 2019, which takes place on October 4-9 in Cologne, Germany.
Ter Önüm successfully works to supply consumers with fresh fruits and vegetables. The enterprise runs scientific innovation center where various researches in agriculture are underway. Recently, the specialists of the center took part in a scientific conference at the Turkmen Agricultural University Named after S.A. Niyazov.
The enterprise, in collaboration USAID Competitiveness, Trade, and Jobs (CTJ) project, exported 18,5 tons of melons from Turkmenistan to Austria in September. Collected from the fields in the Dashoguz velayat of Turkmenistan, the Gulyabi variety melons were, packaged, loaded and transported by refrigerated trucks to Vienna in nine days.
Turkmen businesses plan to increase the export of melons, export them to China, India and Europe. Ter Önüm exhibits such melons alongside fresh fruits and vegetables, and grains at the Anuga 2019 international food fair.
Anuga is the world’s largest trade fair for food and beverages, which is held since 1919.
This year, 7,590 exhibitors from 107 countries display their products on the total exhibition area of 284 thousand square meters. The fair expects more than 180 thousand visitors from 198 countries. More than 2,3 thousand innovative projects and products will be exhibited in Anuga 2019 that celebrates its 100th anniversary this year.
