Turkmenbashi International Seaport Hosted a Seminar on Improving Trade Turnover
Freights imported at large quantities to Turkmenbashi International Seaport are exempted from custom taxes for up to three years. In addition, freights are then stored in open warehouse free of charge for 30-45 days.

Customs Post building in the Turkmenbashi International Seaport hosted a seminar on the topic “Improving Trade Turnover through the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port”, State Customs Service of Turkmenistan said in a press release on October 29.

Analytical Department of the State Customs Service organized the seminar. Members of the customs post, representatives of the State Border, Migration Services, Türkmendeňizderýaýollary and Türkmendemirýollary agencies, as well as the Türkmen logistika assosiasiýasy Economic Association of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan attended the seminar.

During the seminar, attenders were informed about the work carried out in the Customs Enhancement Service at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport. Representatives of the departments and organizations participating in the seminar also briefed about their activities in this area.

The participants discussed the upcoming common tasks on the way to improving the commodity circulation.

Freights imported at large quantities to Turkmenbashi International Seaport, which commissioned in 2018, are exempted from custom taxes for up to three years. In addition, freights are then stored in open warehouse free of charge for 30-45 days. The seaport received a relevant license for the operation of customs warehouses in August last year.

For the implementation of fast and reliable services, which is the main goal of logistics, there are public service buildings in the port. Thus, the buildings of the migration and customs services, as well as the building of the management of railways arranged within the port, will make a great contribution to faster delivery of goods to their destinations moving along the route through the port of Turkmenbashi.
