Guwlyduz enterprise in Balkan velayat’s Turkmenbashi etrap plans to commission a workshop with an annual production capacity of 40 thousand tons of iodized salt and 2.5 thousand tons of industrial salt in its structure.
At a regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet Bayramgeldi Ovezov, informed that construction and installation works of the workshop is in its final stage.
The Deputy Chairman briefed the Head of State on the work being done by the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern to increase the production of iodine and salt in Turkmenistan and informed that more than 500 tons of technical iodine are produced annually in the country.
4 new pilot industrial facilities for the production of technical iodine with an annual capacity of 90 tons were commissioned in the Esenguly etrap's Chukurguyy site.
Ovezov noted the implementation of these projects will make it possible to additionally produce more than 300 tons of technical iodine, which will increase the export capacity of Türkmenhimiýa State Concern.
Recently, Türkmenhimiýa exported 1.8 thousand tons of potash products to the Qingdao port of the People’s Republic of China.
