Representatives of the private sector took an active part in the XIII International Book Fair and Scientific Conference “Book - the Way to Cooperation and Progress” held in Ashgabat.
Representatives of publishing houses and specialized enterprises, business and literary groups, scientific and educational centers, writers, scientists, translators, specialists in the field of library business and IT technologies, as well as journalists from 16 states, including from Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Korea, Moldova, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine and France are attending the Forum, which opened on Tuesday.
About 60 institutions and departments of Turkmenistan displayed a wide variety of publishing products to visitors, demonstrating the potential of the domestic publishing industry.
Geldimyradova Gulnar, a specialist at Älem bookstore, told Business Turkmenistan that they operate two stores in the capital. “Anyone can buy fiction or educational literature in Turkmen, English, Russian, French, Turkish and Spanish languages. Our stores that are located in the building of the Bägül restaurant and the Aşgabadyň Ýalkymy shopping center serve customers,” Geldimyradova said.
The chief specialist of the Galam bookstore Dovletov Ovluyaguly emphasized that in the store customers can buy not only books of classics of world literature, but also stationery. The customers can also make purchases and order delivery of books on the website of the bookstore, said a specialist of the Galam bookstore.
The manager of the Buşluk private enterprise Tanryberdiyeva Ayna informed Busines Turkmenistan about the company’s range of services. The manager noted that they mainly deal with advertising, and make various design elements, lamps, traffic signs, and door numbers by individual orders of customer.
The Forum continues till Wednesday and special diplomas will be awarded to its participants.
