There are currently 37 private tourism enterprises in Turkmenistan. Some of them are the enterprises that were privatized recently. All of the privatized enterprises have retained their names and activities.
The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs now has a Department of tourism, and the Rowaç Syýahat enterprise created under the Union coordinates the business activities of companies working in the tourism sector, Rysgal newspaper reports.
Representatives of the private sector of the national economy regularly participate in meetings with foreign partners, international industry reviews and seminars, the purpose of which is to study and introduce modern approaches to domestic tourism.
Representatives of the tourism industry of Turkmenistan took part in the International Exhibition ITB Asia-2019 held in Singapore in October, the TOURISM EXPO JAPAN-2019 in Osaka, Japan, a tourism development seminar in China as well as at the International Exhibition and Scientific Conference Tourism and Travel held in Avaza National Tourist Zone.
In the new edition of the law of Turkmenistan "On the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan", published on October 16, there is an article stating that the goals and objectives of the Union include consolidation of business entities operating in the tourism sector of Turkmenistan, coordination of their activities, participation in the development of international cooperation in this direction.
