President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to commission a new metallurgical enterprise for the industrial processing of discovered iron ore deposits in the country.
During the video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, the Head of State noted the growing demand for construction materials in the country, especially for iron products and emphasized the need to create a new metallurgical production facility.

Turkmengeologiya State Corporation discovered a large iron ore deposit (about 70-75 million tons) at the Chagyl field in the west of Turkmenistan. According to the calculations by specialists, the ore contains 20 percent iron.
