Specialists of the Turkish company STM Cyber held a seminar on raising cybersecurity awareness at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET) on November 26.
According to the UIET, representatives of state and private sector, including members of the Union specializing in IT technologies and IT security attended the seminar.
The participants were acquainted with the activities of STM Cyber, a Turkish company specializing in products and services in the field of information technology. The company's specialists offered their experience in analyzing and assessing cyber security risks necessary to prevent cyber-attacks.
STM Cyber is headquartered in Ankara with branches operating in Istanbul and Karachi.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has approved the Draft Law on Cybersecurity during the session of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 6.
Information technology companies operating in Turkmenistan will also provide their services in the field of cybersecurity in accordance with the new Law. One of such companies, Turkmen Transit, launched its cybersecurity division in March.
