Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation took place in Moscow on November 28-29.
According to the Turkmen Foreign Ministry, during the consultations at the Russian Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed bilateral collaboration in the framework of the CIS and international organizations, including the topics related to the agenda of the 74th and 75th sessions of the UN General Assembly, as well as the issues of external policy.
The sides also considered the issues of cooperation between the external policy agencies of the two countries in accordance with the Program of Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation for 2019-2020.
The parties stated the presence of opportunities for consistent development of bilateral and regional partnership, including of cooperation in the area of economy, trade, transport, energy, particularly in light of the adoption of the Declaration on the Strategic Economic Partnership of the CIS states-participants.
The consultations reaffirmed the high level of mutual understanding between the external policy agencies of Turkmenistan and Russia on the key issues of bilateral, regional and global agenda.
