TechWomen 2019 gathered 106 women leaders from 21 countries, including from Turkmenistan.

The United States government’s 2020 TechWomen program application is now open for women in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

The 2020 TechWomen application will last till January 15, 2020.

The last year’s edition gathered 106 women leaders from 21 countries, including from Turkmenistan. The program plans to enroll 108 applicants next year.

Four Turkmen women specialists participated in the 2019 TechWomen. Among them, two women from state institutions improved their knowledge in applying innovative technologies in their activities.

Applicants with two-year experience are eligible to apply for the program. The program also requires applicants to be proficient in written and spoken English.

Participants in the TechWomen program, launched in 2011, get the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the experience of well-known companies for five weeks. To date, about 700 women from various parts of the world have participated in the program.

TechWomen brings emerging women leaders in STEM from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East together with their professional counterparts in the United States for a mentorship and exchange program.

Participating in the five-week TechWomen program,  launched in 2011, gives women from Africa, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East “access to networks, resources and knowledge to empower them to reach their full potential in STEM.”

Over the past seven years, more than 700 women have participated in the program.
