Up to around 50 RINA personnel will be working with the Turkmengas to help ensure a successful outcome in all technical aspects of the TAPI pipeline.

Turkmengas State Concern signed a contract, valued at around $13 million, with Italian RINA S.p.A.

According to the Italian company’s Wednesday press release, the contract covers technical advice and support services for the construction of a 214km of pipeline across Turkmenistan along with two compressor stations.

“Up to around 50 RINA personnel will be working with the Turkmengas to help ensure a successful outcome in all technical aspects of the pipeline,” the company said in the statement.

RINA Director Stefano Socci spoke at the Turkmen-Italian business forum held in Milan on November 6 about the preparations for the conclusion of the contract.

The Italian company, which opened its branch in Turkmenistan in 2010, was able to win the tender related to TAPI, announced in 2018.

RINA took part in the implementation of more than 30 projects in Turkmenistan.

RINA operates 200 branches in 70 countries of the world. The company's revenue last year amounted to €440 million.
