Yrsgal Ojagy private enterprise launched on Thursday a new greenhouse in Gokdepe etrap’s Üzümçilik farmers' association in Ahal velayat.
The enterprise erected the 10-hectare greenhouse, using the products of companies from Turkey, Spain, and the Netherlands, on 30 hectare-land plot allocated for growing crops.
The greenhouse is designed to produce 3800 tons of bandeta tomatoes per year.
Surplus products will be exported to the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the Russian Federation.
Thanks to the temperature control system installed in the greenhouse, the temperature inside the greenhouse will always be kept at +25°C.
The water necessary for plants is kept at special tanks. After enriching its composition with various minerals, the water is sent to the facility. The smart technologies installed at the modern greenhouse regulate not only the water supply and air, but also the level of carbon dioxide and light.
The greenhouse includes dining room, rest rooms and other facilities necessary for 125 specialists to work.
During the opening ceremony, the enterprise also laid the foundation of a second 10-hectare greenhouse.
