New Greenhouse Increases Yigit’s Annual Tomato Production to 10,500 Tons
Private farmers of Turkmenistan sold tomatoes worth over $17.5 million this year.

Ýigit Economic Society commissioned a new 20-hectare greenhouse in the Kaka etrap of Ahal velayat.

Eziz Doganlar Economic Society constructed the Yigit’s new tomato greenhouse. The greenhouse, which was built by more than 350 people, is equipped with modern machinery of European companies, including of Inta, Crone, Thermeta, Munters, Acom, Vilo, Grundfos.

The new greenhouse increases the company’s annual tomato production capacity by 8,000 tons, bringing it's total production to 10,500 tons. The greenhouse will grow Merlice, Tomimaro Mucho and Juanita varieties of tomatoes.

The company will also increase the number of its employees working in greenhouses to 384.

The construction of the greenhouse has begun on February 9, the same day when Yigit launched its 10-hectare greenhouse.

Besides operating greenhouses, Yigit also grows agricultural crops on 865-hectare open field. The fields are equipped with eight sprinkler irrigations systems.

Yigit’s Mahmal branded tomatoes are available for sale not only in domestic markets, but also in Dubai’s Carrefour and Russia’s Ecoculture shopping centers.
