Kawasaki to Participate in Construction of Turkmenistan’s Second GTG Plant
Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd (Japan) and Rönesans (Turkey) jointly carried out the construction of the Ahal GTG plant.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of Energy System and Plant Engineering of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. Tatsuya Watanabe.

Watanabe said the corporation is interested in strengthening relations with Turkmenistan and is ready to provide all its experience and the latest technological developments.

During the Wednesday meeting, the parties paid special attention to the plant for the production of synthetic motor gasoline from natural gas, constructed with the participation of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. in Ahal velayat.

Turkmen President and a Japanese businessman exchanged views on the prospects for cooperation, taking into account programs aimed at further developing the industrial infrastructure of Turkmenistan.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan is always open for mutually beneficial business contacts with leading foreign companies specializing in the construction of large industrial facilities for the production of products that are in high demand in international markets.

Turkmenistan currently plans to build a second GTG plant. To this end, within the framework of the working visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Japan in October, a corresponding Memorandum was signed between the Türkmengaz State Concern and the group of companies consisting of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. and Sojitz Corporation.
