Turkmenistan Approves New Regulations Related to Trademarks
The Resolution streamlines intellectual property issues in accordance with the Laws of Turkmenistan “On Trademarks” and “On Appellations of Origin”.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the sizes of duties related to trademarks and appellations of origin of goods.

During a regular video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Gochmyrat Myradov presented to the Head of State a draft Resolution on fees related to trademarks and appellations of origin.

The Turkmen President signed the draft Resolution and instructed the official to monitor the proper implementation of the provisions of this document.

According to the Turkmenistan’s State news agency, the Resolution streamlines intellectual property issues in accordance with the Laws of Turkmenistan “On Trademarks” and “On Appellations of Origin”.

The Resolution regulates the procedure for paying fees related to trademarks, sizes of fees related to trademarks, the procedure for the payment of duties related to appellation of places of origin of goods, and the sizes of duties related to appellations of origin.
