President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip on Tuesday across the capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat.
At the beginning of the working trip, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Shopping and Entertainment Centre, which is being built under next phase of urban development of Ashgabat, and paid special attention to the construction work’s quality. Beýik-Bina Private Company carries out the construction of the facility along Tehran Street.
The Head of State discussed the project’s construction and noted that self-sufficiency of organization of urban environment has to be the main principle of further development of the capital.
“It is necessary that the population would have an opportunity to work, study, rest, engage in sports and art, use modern shopping, entertainment and health improvement services, which is in a walking distance,” said the Turkmen President.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov then arrived at the construction site of new Ashgabat – Turkmenabat highway.
At the site, the Turkmen Leader inspected the course of construction works and quality of materials used in the construction of the road.
The length of the highway, worth $2.3 billion, will be 600 kilometers.
The construction of the highway is carried out by Nusaýýollary, Hyzmat Merkezi, Edermen and Altyn nesil private companies with the work order of Türkmen Awtoban CJSV, which is the general contractor of the project.
The project is planned to be implemented in three phases, the first part of the highway Ashgabat – Tejen will be opened in December 2020, the second section, Tejen – Mary, in December 2022 and the third from Mary to Turkmenabat in December 2023.
The highway will have eight lanes – three main and one auxiliary on each side of the road. The width of the road will be 34.5 meters. The route will start from the intersection, which will be built at the 24th kilometre of Ashgabat – Dashoguz road. Payment terminals, which will provide electronic payments, traffic control services and recreation area will be located at the same place.
