Gündogdy Individual Enterprise has finished the construction of tracks leading the plane to the terminal for boarding passengers and the tracks that lead back to the runway.

Gündogdy Individual Enterprise leveled an area of ​​more than 200 hectares for the construction of an airport in the east of Lebap velayat’s Kerki city in the northeastern Turkmenistan.

The construction of the new airport, with an hourly capacity of 100 passengers, involves about 300 specialists and 80 pieces of specialized equipment. The main workforce is directed to the construction of a 2700 meter long and a 60 meter wide runway. Work on the site is in its final stages.

Hudaynazar Gurbanov, the head of the construction and installation site, said the construction works are carried out harmoniously, in close interconnection and noted that so far, they have completely covered the runway with the necessary materials. “The installation of fencing for the airport was completed by 83%,” Gurbanov added.

According to Gurbanov, the company has finished the construction of tracks leading the plane to the terminal for boarding passengers and the tracks that lead back to the runway. The next task of builders is to construct a passenger terminal on a ​​1730 square meter area.

Gundogdy Individual Enterprise, which is also constructing an air harbor in the administrative center of the Lebap velayat, plans to commission a new civil airport in Kerki in April 2021.
