Turkmen Leader informed about the huge potential of the country's electric power industry and emphasized that Turkmenistan is one of the richest countries in terms of the availability of energy resources.

Turkmen President also noted that the country pays special attention to the introduction of environmentally friendly technologies in the industry, which can reduce fuel consumption and at the same time increase electricity production.

Turkmenistan is currently supplying electricity to Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. Specialists in this field plan to implement a Turkmenistan - Afghanistan – Pakistan power transmission line project with a capacity of 500 kilowatts, in parallel with the TAPI gas pipeline.
