Turkmenistan, Germany Talk Business at Round Table in Ashgabat
Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted the Turkmen-German Round Table.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted on Thursday the Turkmen-German Round Table. Representatives of ministries, sectoral departments of Turkmenistan, Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany, and German companies attended the round table.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Dovletgeldi Rejepov noted that Turkmenistan and Germany maintain promising economic relations, and according to the trade statistics of 11 months of 2019, Germany became the country’s 9th largest trading partner.

Rejepov emphasized that the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan registered 183 joint projects with the participation of 57 companies with German investments.

Andreas Nikolin, Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Economic Policy Department of the Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, noted that the delegation included representatives of a number of experienced companies that can establish cooperation in the field of digitalization of the Turkmen economy and industry.

At the end of the round table, the attendees held bilateral meetings, during which the Turkmen and German companies introduced their areas of activity.

During their visit to Turkmenistan, the German delegation also toured the production facilities of Abadan Haly, Bir dünýä, Täze Aý and Daýanç Plastik companies.
