Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting on Friday with the delegation from Germany.
During the meeting in which Turkmen companies also attended, Chairman of the Union Alexander Dadayev familiarized the German guests with the activities of entrepreneurs, noting that since the foundation of the Union, Turkmen businesses have invested $6 billion in the domestic economy.
Dadaev said that in 2018, 18 bilateral agreements were reached between Turkmenistan and Germany, some of which are still being worked on.
“In 2020, 20 agreements were reached and implemented,” Chairman of the Union added.
The head of the UIET invited representatives of German business circles to participate in investment projects in Turkmenistan and emphasized the availability of wide opportunities for cooperation in the field of energy supply and the production of export-oriented products.
The guests briefed about their areas of activity and opportunities for cooperation and showed interest in the business proposals of the Turkmen side and in investments in Turkmenistan. Representatives of the European country voiced their ideas on providing technical equipment to large facilities in Turkmenistan.
As of today, Ministry of Economy and Finance of Turkmenistan has registered 183 joint projects with the participation of 57 companies with German investments.
