Turkmenistan Allocates $1.5 Billion for Construction of Ahal’s Administrative Center
Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting dedicated to construction works in the new administrative center of the Ahal velayat.

Turkmenistan allocated $1.5 billion for the construction of new and modern administrative center of Ahal velayat.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on the allocation of funds during the video conference session on Monday.

Most of the construction of the new administrative center is carried out by members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (UIET).

During the meeting, the Head of State instructed the relevant officials to keep under constant control the quality and timeliness of the commissioning of the buildings under construction, in which national architectural traditions should be combined with modern experience.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that great responsibility rests with entrepreneurs, many jobs have already been created, and noted that all measures are being taken to implement this large-scale project.

In this regard, members of the Turkmen business community held a meeting on Monday at the UIET headquarters. The participants gave briefings on the progress in the construction of the new administrative center, and on the fulfillment of the tasks entrusted to them.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the velayat administrative center took place in April 2019 with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan. The new center will be located in the Goktepe etrap.

Construction of the modern administrative center has begun in August 2019. The buildings and facilities will be fully commissioned in September 2021.
