Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan will create its Department of Digital Technologies, and Türkmenhaly State Association will create departments of external relations, marketing and digital technologies in its structure.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov approved the documents on opening new departments during the video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday.
Turkmenistan intends to provide $100 million in investments to the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan in order to strengthen its production and technical potential in the period from 2019 to 2025.
Türkmenhaly was separated from the structure of the Ministry of Textile Industry and transferred to the jurisdiction of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 7.
The production of national carpets and carpet products in Turkmenistan saw a 20% increase in 2019, compared to the same period last year. Export of carpets increased by 178% and the legal entities’ share in the export increased by 5%.
