Kämilligiň Gözbaşy Economic Society, which built a livestock complex in the western velayat of Turkmenistan, increased the number of contained Simmental cattle to 550.
The complex in Balkan velayat’s Serdar etrap contains 160 female cows, the rest are calves. Calves and dairy cattle are kept separately.
The complex is equipped with automatic milking machinery, which is capable of milking 32 cows simultaneously. During the milking process, the milk is transferred to special storage, where it is instantaneously cooled till four degree Celsius.
The enterprise grows the necessary herbs and crops for the manufacture of animal feed on its 500-hectare land. In January, the cattle received 13 thousand bundles of clover, straw, hay, over 50 thousand tons of oilcake, and about 15 thousand tons of bran.
All cattle contained in the livestock complex are easily adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Turkmenistan.
