Turkmen Customs Officials Discuss Transition to Single Window System
State Customs Service of Turkmenistan will implement the Single Window system for Foreign Trade.

State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, which constantly incorporates digital solutions in its activities, holds various events on the transition to Single Window system in order to further modernize its work.

In this context, the seminar entitled “Actual Issues of Implementing the Single Window for Foreign Trade” took place in the conference hall of the State Service on Wednesday.

The seminar was organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.

The presentations of experts on the implementation of the Single Window system made it possible for the seminar participants to get acquainted with modern concepts, information technologies necessary for transition to the system and the possibilities of incorporating them in their work.

The national prototype of the integrated customs information system ASYCUDA World was implemented in the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan in cooperation with UNCTAD and with the active assistance of UNDP in Turkmenistan. It is expected that the system will become the main platform to contribute to the implementation of the Single Window project for foreign trade in the country.

The Single Window system is a trade facilitation idea. It enables international (cross-border) traders to submit regulatory documents at a single location or single entity.
