All ministries, sectoral departments, hyakimliks of velayats and Ashgabat, institutions, enterprises and organizations of Turkmenistan, regardless of their legal form, will create their websites and electronic document management systems.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding Decree at the video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers on Thursday.
According to the document, ministries, sectoral departments, hyakimliks of velayats and Ashgabat, institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of the legal form, as well as individual entrepreneurs - individuals who carry out entrepreneurial activities without forming a legal entity, are required to ensure the creation of an electronic document management system in the established manner and Internet websites, as well as their commissioning and systematic updating.
The Head of State assigned to begin these tasks in March 2020 and to completely put into operation an electronic document management system and Internet websites by January 2021.
The Decree was signed in order to fulfill the tasks under the first stage of the implementation of the Concept of Development of Digital economy in Turkmenistan in 2019 – 2025, as well as the Program for Development of Foreign Economic Activities of Turkmenistan for 2020-2025.
Summing up the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Turkmen Leader emphasized the need to accelerate the transition to a digital system in all sectors of the national economy, which is one of the important tasks facing members of the government.
