Russia’s Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) sent test kits for the COVID-19 to Turkmenistan, the Rospotrebnadzor said in a Thursday statement.
The State health service of Russia said Moscow had also sent the test kits to Iran, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, and the DPRK. The countries received overall 800 test kits, which can be used to carry out 80,000 tests.
Iran received 500 kits, which can be used to carry out 50,000 tests, the Rospotrebnadzor said, adding that these were supplied free of charge.
During the briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on March 5 on the measures for preventing the penetration of the dangerous infectious diseases, the officials informed that no cases of coronavirus or its symptoms had been detected in Turkmenistan.
