Upon entering the customs points, freight on the vehicles belonging to foreign carriers will be transferred to Turkmen vehicles without human contact at specially designated place in the territory of Turkmenistan.

According to the information, foreign carriers arriving at the Turkmenbashi International Seaport by Monday can leave their trailers at a designated location within the port to transport or transit through Turkmenistan via Turkmen vehicles. Owners of foreign freight vehicle must ensure the return of their vehicles and drivers to their home countries by seaway.

Starting March 24, any form of cargo arriving at Turkmenbashi International Seaport, including transit cargo, must be transported by ship, without truck and driver.

In order to effectively use international multimodal routes across Turkmenistan, it is recommended to transport cargos by containers and rail wagons by sea and land.

The cargos, which will transit through Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan, will be transported by Turkmen vehicles to the border of that country. The vehicles of the transit country will accept the cargo at the customs point, which means foreign vehicles will not enter the territory of Turkmenistan and Turkmen vehicles will not leave the country.
