Heads and Representatives of the Türkmenhimiýa (Turkmen Chemicals) State Concern and the Tatarstan-based KER-Holding Limited Liability Company held a video conference meeting on Monday.
The parties focused on the implementation of the project for the construction of the complex mineral fertilizer (NPK) production unit at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant and the drafting of the relevant contract.
In the framework of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s working visit to Tatarstan in June 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Türkmenhimiýa State Concern and KER-Holding LLC.
The document reflects the parties' desires for mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of promising investment projects for the development of chemical industry in Turkmenistan.
The Tatar company won the international tender announced by Türkmenhimiýa for the turnkey design and construction of a unit for the production of 170 thousand tons of fertilizers per year.
The relevant Framework Agreement on the implementation of the project was concluded at the First Caspian Economic Forum held in August last year in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
