An extraordinary session of the representatives of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member-states was held in a video conference format on Tuesday.
The delegation of Turkmenistan was headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The meeting participants discussed the current level of cooperation between the ECO states and crucial matters of regional and international agenda, particularly the impact of the pandemic on trade-economic ties between the member countries.
The parties also considered the key aspects of cooperation in the fields of trade, transport, energy and industry.
The sides exchanged views on joint measures for overcoming the current economic crisis and the development of future trade strategies.
The Economic Cooperation Organization is an intergovernmental organization which was founded in 1985. The organization members are Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
