Ashgabat, ITF Review Major Investment Projects in Transport Field
The meeting participants discussed major investment projects in the field of sustainable transport.

A meeting with the Secretary General of the International Transport Forum (ITF) Kim Young Tae at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in a video conference format on Wednesday focused on key aspects of the country's cooperation with the ITF.

The online meeting gathered heads and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Türkmenawtoulaglary (Turkmen Motor Transport), Türkmendemirýollary (Turkmen Railways), Türkmendeňizderýaýollary (Turkmen Sea and River ways), Türkmenhowaýollary (Turkmen Airlines) agencies, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

The meeting participants discussed major investment projects in the field of sustainable transport and noted the importance of the projects at cementing the status of Turkmenistan as a transit and transport hub.

The ITF Secretary General said the transport industry has been and remains a special kind of system of building ties between people, which contributes to economic development and cultural exchange of countries and nations.

The International Transport Forum is an inter-governmental organisation within the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) system. The organization was established in 2006 and brings together 60 member countries.
